The final event of the 2026 Karate One Series A season continued in Salzburg with six more titles decided on the second day of competition.
Patricia Nastas, Nina Kvasnicova, Sami Tas, Taiki Kataoka, and the teams of Kuwait and Chinese Taipei all secured gold as the event brought together athletes from across the world for a major celebration of Karate.
Patricia Nastas Takes -50kg Title
Romania’s Patricia Nastas claimed the Female Kumite -50kg title with a dominant performance in the final. She defeated Ukraine’s Daria Pylypiuk 8-0 to secure the gold medal.
Nina Kvasnicova Wins -55kg Gold
Slovakia’s Nina Kvasnicova emerged victorious in the Female Kumite -55kg category. She edged Venezuela’s Yorgelis Salazar 4-2 in a closely contested final to take the title.
Sami Tas Triumphs in -60kg
France’s Sami Tas won the Male Kumite -60kg category after a tight final against Algeria’s Mohamed Anis Saadi. Tas prevailed 4-3 to claim the gold medal.
Taiki Kataoka Secures -67kg Title
Japan’s Taiki Kataoka added another title for his country in the Male Kumite -67kg category. He defeated Ukraine’s Nazarii Prannychuk 1-0 in a final decided by a single point.
Kuwait Takes Male Team Kata Gold
Kuwait dominated the Male Team Kata final, defeating Italy 5-0 to take the gold medal. The clear victory gave Kuwait the first of the two team kata titles decided on day two.
Chinese Taipei Wins Female Team Kata
Chinese Taipei claimed the Female Team Kata crown after a close final against France. The Chinese Taipei team secured a 3-2 victory to finish the day as champions.
