Iran won the final gold medal of the Chuncheon World Taekwondo World Cup Team Championships, triumphing in the mixed team event.
Mohammad Hossein Yazdani, Amir Sina Bakhtiari, Hasti Mohammadi, Amir Reza Sadeghian, Abbasali Keshi, Yalda Valinejad and Baran Nemati all featured for Iran in the mixed team event, and prevailed over Russia in the final to clinch gold.
Russia added to their silver in yesterday’s women’s event with another second-place finish in the mixed team, courtesy of Alisa Soshnikova, Margarita Agrofenina, Iulia Kudriavtseva, Vladislav Shimanskiy, Nikita Vysotin and Daniil Zhdanov.
Bronze went to Kazakhstan, who added to their silver in the men’s event. Their team was comprised of Aruzhan Naimanbayeva, Batyrkhan Kussetov, Anuar Mukhametkarymov and Aida Taukenova.
Eight countries participated in the mixed team event, with China, India, Korea, Morocco and Thailand also featuring.
