China made a clean sweep of all five title at stake at the Ruichang China Masters today.
Having already assured of all three doubles title, being all-Chinese encounters, Chinese shuttlers also prevailed in both the singles.
Defending champion Sun Cao retained his Ruichang China Masters men’s singles title dismantling top seeded Prahdiska Bagas Shujiwo of Indonesia 21-14, 21-11 in the final.
The 22-year-old had won the title last year defeating teammate Zhou Xinyu and finished runners-up at the same event in 2023.
Nineteen-year-old Xu Wenjing, the former Asian Junior champion, defeated Korean Kim Min-ji 21-14, 21-12 for the women’s singles title. Ranked 117, Wenjing upstaged her 76th ranked rival in the final that lasted 43-minutes.
